Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Detroit

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Johan Franzen led a balanced scoring attack with a goal and an assist, as the Detroit Red Wings rallied from an early deficit to hold off the Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-3.
Mikael Samuelsson, Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk also had a goal and a helper for the Red Wings, who have won three of four.
Marian Hossa had two helpers in the win, and Chris Osgood made 15 saves to improve to 17-0-0 all-time against the Lightning, the best active record of any netminder against one team.
Mark Recchi, Jussi Jokinen and Matt Pettinger all scored for the Lightning, who have lost five of six. Olaf Kolzig allowed four goals on 39 shots in the loss.
Down a goal headed into the final period, the Red Wings forged ahead with a pair of power play goals. With a 5-on-3 advantage for the first part of the third, Zetterberg was able to tally the equalizer at 1:38 with help from Franzen and Hossa.
Just 52 seconds later with a 5-on-4 edge, Samuelsson took a slap shot from the point that went through traffic and past Kolzig for the go-ahead score.
Franzen then put the Red Wings in front by two. Samuelsson stole the puck right in front of the crease and dished it to Zetterberg. Zetterberg found Franzen across the ice, and he easily deposited the puck into the wide-open net with 10:39 left to play.
The Lightning made it a one-goal game late on a reviewed score.
Pettinger skated in toward the crease and jammed the puck into Osgood's pads. The disc trickled past the goalie and into the net for the score with 4:18 remaining. Replay determined that the puck did not illegally deflect off Vinny Prospal's skate at the left post before crossing the goal line.
Tampa pulled Kolzig with 1:31 to play, but Osgood held firm in net to preserve the victory.
Tampa Bay lit the lamp first late in the opening period. Fresh off the power play, Recchi took a pass from Lukas Krajicek and was able to deke around a defender at the blue line. He managed to work his way to the right circle, wristing the puck past Osgood for the lead at 5:51.
It was 2-0 for the Bolts with just 1:41 left on the clock and Zetterberg off for interference. Jokinen took a cross-ice pass from Andrej Meszaros in the offensive zone that slipped by three defenders. With Osgood out of position, Jokinen took a shot that bounced off the top of the goaltender's pad into the back of the net.
Detroit made it 2-1 just 1:33 into the second. Nicklas Lidstrom took a slapshot from the point, and Datsyuk was able to tip the puck out of mid air past a screened Kolzig.
Detroit has won 16 of the past 21 meetings with the Lightning...Zetterberg's goal was his 10th of the season...Hossa has 13 assists on the year...Detroit came into the game converting an NHL-best 33.3 percent of its power plays...The Red Wings went 2-for-5 on the man-advantage in the game...Tampa Bay scored once on four power-play chances.
